F31 EOP and Individual Requests

Does anyone know what the cutoff for an individual request would be for the F31? The end of production (EOP) is June of this year. I spoke with a dealer who doesn't have an allocation, they're trading to get one, but they said that individual requests would not be accepted by BMW AG at this point.

I wanted to get Mediterranean blue with the M sport, which isn't a standard color for BMW NA, but it is available in other markets, i.e. BMW Canada. I also want to order Merino leather rather than the Dakota leather since it's much higher quality. I'm willing to budge on the exterior color but not the interior.

I think you just missed the cut. I had inquired about one and for one to be considered and approved but still not guaranteed for production, the order had to be placed late February just when March allocations were out. You could try to contact any dealer willing to get one but I think this close to EOP (June), you will be out of luck especially if you can't get a March production.

Has anyone actually managed to get a merino interior f31 here in the US or Canada?

I may have missed the cut I haven't confirmed yet. I did confirm that it was possible to order Individual paint and interior. I was quoted the standard price ($5k) for Mediterranean Blue on a M Sport car, I really annoyed it wasn't ($1950) but I was told they have to stop the line and pull stuff, hence the price. For that money I'm getting something more unique, Daytona Violet, etc.

As for the the interior, I was quoted a guesstimate of $6k for Cohiba merino leather. That seems way too high given the F32 and F36 can get it for way cheaper ($3k). I questioned this but was told that was the pay to play number essentially. I'm passing on both as that would add at least $11k to the car and I'm already maxed out on options. I'm at M4 money then almost lol. I'm settling for BSM with Cognac interior.
