There is…if you have the power port for cell phone chargers, etc. I have the power seat ejector button there. But for the same reason as noted above I am worried about a coffee spill. Don't want to accidentally launch the misses.

I had this same thing happen to me. I had to pull the fuse and use a flathead screwdriver and needle nose pliers to get it out as the fit is super tight.

I'd get that penny out by putting a dab of RTV on a length of 1/2" dowel, pushing the dowel against the penny, leaving it overnight. Pull the dowel and penny out the next morning. Then put a cap on the outlet. |

I was able to get it out today. I purchased a bag of wooden kabob skewers from the grocery store for $3. The one penny turned out to be 3 pennies, and still not sure how that happened. The last penny was really lodged in there. I went through 6 skewers to get them all out. Now it appears the fuse is blown. I haven't used the car lighter in about a year. I'll replace the fuse later this week. For now, I put a black plastic cap cover on it. I really appreciate everyone's advice and comments with this.

I have two ways that have universally worked for me whenever i run into a similar issue.
1- If you have an air compressor\air gun, give it a few blasts, it will either blow the coin out or put it on its side so you can grab it with pliers. 2- Detailing clay is super sticky and hard, put some on the tip of a screwdriver or wooden skewer or whatever you have on hand, it'll stick to the coin easily and you can pull it out. |

Try using a vacuum with a hose attachment if you haven't been able to yet. Lmk how it goes.

I'm sure your fuse blew...when I got mine, I had a penny in it too.
It's one in the trunk...some weird graphic on the car giving you no idea what it's for--it's one of those fuses. Last one on the right column in this pic. #66, 69, or 162 https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...&postcount=112
