Something like "fun tack" for hanging posters, or a small piece of duct tape rolled on itself stuck to the end of a pen/pencil.

Just dab it down, and it should come right out.

Just get a magnet. You can get those extendable ones on a stick that you use to pick up stuff.

If you can't pick it up with all methods above, try super glue at flat tip of a wooden stick (or the cap head of a bolt/ big screw, etc...)

Total thread derail, but thanks for the education. I just assumed they were always copper (they were up until 1992 apparently). I remember as a kid that those stamping machines at places like the zoo used to take a penny, mush it flat and imprint an animal, or something. And then one day, it was just put in a buck, and a copper slug got mashed.

I thought it was a "destruction of currency" reason, but apparently not!
