Forgot to include the A5 into the mix... As you can see we have three coupes to critique, with the Honda and Mercedes counting as one.

The render is looking better.

Wow they killed it... Even the body lines on the side look like the accords.

I hope this render looks nothing like the real thing.

F32 should be no bigger than F30.
It's just the sleek shape and lines that makes it appear stretched.

If it's too big, can always get the 1er coupe, or even better the 1M,
The size and weight E92 M3, drove it for 3 years, was exactly the reason I wanted something smaller..........so the 1M was right on time for me......I bought one in a split second..........

Mean reason could be that, while buying a new car, for most people it must be better, bigger, more HP then the previous one.....manufacturers do know that, so it is also a marketing instrument IMO.....

I do hope that someday things will be reversed..........smaller cars, better handling, less fuell consumption, needs less HP for maximum Driving Fun........

Bigger, is indeed, not always better.................

It's not a photorealistic render, but here is my suggestion (actually my wish):

Oh, and it is a cabriolet, no coupe

the side view of the car, from the Rear renders photos, makes the car looks like a Mercedes benz! not liking it that much.

I dont like looking at photos of what or how should the coupe look like because the end result should be better i hope!

Or worse, like it is the case for the F20, I don't think that any rendering before its official release were showing how ugly the actual thing would be...

The F32 is following, IMO, the best 2 door coupe ever. They'll have to do so much to surpass it, and from the camo looks and the renders, they have failed. I don't blame them, very hard to follow up near perfection.

Not liking the "3 series coupe = 4 series" thing.

Looks like a baby 6, which is not necessarily a bad thing...but not for a 3er coupe..err 4er coupe. E92 looked better than this imo.

God I want a 6.

Do expect it to be bigger then the E92...
...renders do make you feel it's a big car, not just due to the small wheels.

O so true...
...my E92 330i is going to make place for something smaller. Perhaps I do go for a second hand 1M when the time is right to trade in the car.

To me even though the design looks stretched, but I like the fact that the walls (doors) are not too high.

I don't remember exactly when cars started getting taller and narrower, but back in the 80s-90s before the collapse of the real sports coupe designs (eg. 300ZX, Supra, RX7, NSX, ...), sport cars had wider-lower stance. Then for some reason designs started getting squeezed from sides and pulled from the top (taller and narrower).

BMW is probably the only car maker that still understands shorter height of the doors makes for sportier look. Compare the side walls of the F32 to accord and MB. (I'm not even considering A5, it's all curly and curvy, like a woman with bad makeup).

BMW is back, after the ugly years they've come back to their roots. ...
