I was told they had testedfull e85 up to 450whp on a stock 340xi, and there was definitely more left in it.
That was a few weeks ago though. |

I know I'm in the minority here, but all i want is a stock turbo e85 tune. There are so many headaches with aftermarket turbo kits and I have gone that route in the past. But this go around, 450whp-500whp with just a tune and injectors or pump sounds lovely. My car still will put down the power great and I won't have that itch in the back of my mind that I'm leaving a bunch of power potential on the table. Plus we make all of our power up top just like big turbos do, so I already have the progressive powerband I want.
But it can't be a 4-figure investment. So for now I'm just enjoying E30 |

I find it hard to believe that PS2 is only capable of 550whp on this platform seeing how people are getting 500whp. Is the PS2 for the Supra the same one we have?

The PS2 is definitely good for more than 550whp. Yes, the PS2 for the Supra is the same as it is for our cars. The Supra's fuel system allows it to support 600whp+. Hopefully, with a CPI kit, port injection kit or XDI, we will be able to hit the same numbers on the PS2.

I'm considering a stage 1 turbo upgrade. I don't want to touch e85/meth at all, originally I was planning on just a flash tune alone but seeing the pure stage 1 turbo is only $1k has got me thinking. Would it be worth it though? What kind of numbers would I be looking at with just a flash tune/DPs/PS1?

Anyone see the Pure700 turbo for the Supra:
https://www.pureturbos.com/store/toy...ade-turbo.html Wonder how different this is from the PS2.

Take it from someone that has the stage 1 turbo with intake, downpipe, trans tune and stage 3 tune. Unless u are doing meth or CPI even though it's only 1k don't waste your money. The stock turbo will feel just as fast and is unless u can max the stage 1 turbo out. I wouldn't buy PS1 unless u are also using meth or CPI. |

I'm curious if the Stage 1 with 93 octane will fix the powerband problem. I'd probably not want any more power lower RPMs, just have 5500-7000 feel like power is holding, not dropping off (yes, I know theoretically it is just flat).

With a B58, I don't know that actually adding +100hp on pump gas with the stock turbo is realistic. From what I've read the B58 starts out at higher horsepower than the N55, so with mods a B58 will certainly be comfortably over 400hp on pump gas. If I had a B58 my first two mods would be a high flow downpipe with HJS cats (Fabspeed in the US, see photo) and a BootMod3 Stage2 tune. Please update this thread to let us know how your mod project goes. |
