Watered-down Merino Leather seats on F33(cabriolet) in North America?

My 2017 440i cabriolet came with BMW Individual Opal White Extended Merino Leather option. But I seem to be missing something on the seats: braided pattern, dark piping, and the "INDIVIDUAL" badge. Further research on the Internet I found I'm not alone, NA F33 don't have these details that European ones have. Anyone noticed this and know why? All other body types in NA do have those features.

North American examples:

Not sure if the woven/braided is in any of the USA F3x Individual Interiors.

Mine is literally one in a million in USA afaik. No USA Dealerships that I have been to have ever seen another one like it, including the new and used car managers.

Nice upgrades, I see you did it gradually, you had an M3 steering wheel in the first pic but an M5 wheel in the last. Maybe add some rear sun shades next?

And yes, the braided and contrast piping are in F30, 32, and 36. Only left-out is F33.

Yes, it's been in phases. Keen eyes will note digital kombi as well between pics.

Sunshades already done

Most of the Individual interior came out of the 330e one off that was made for the Berlin Auto show and other parts from another 330e one off made for photographs by the European Magazines and Trades. As thus, the interior was immaculate with literally no wear.

And also available in the F31.

Very odd that your F33 U.S. spec doesn't have the braided leather or piping. I wonder what was in the brochures at the time. My bet is this was a cost saving measure. Just a guess.

My wife has the exact same braided Opal White individual interior as IK6SPEED on her 2018 F36 and Loves it.

It's not just mine, it's all the F33 I can find online in NA. The first 2 pictures of the black seats are taken from a new 2019 F33 440i currently on sale. But if you spec a 2019 or 2020 F33 now on the official website, the rendering view of the interior does show the braid and piping.

I love Opal White in a black car, but went with Cashmere figuring ir was a little easier to keep looking good.
