TPMS keeps asking for reset

Went out to the car this morning and message pops up to reset TPMS. Tried a reset and it stopped after about 8% and went back to the warning screen. After about 6 attempts it finally sorted itself out and tyre pressures were fine. Got back in the car later in the day and exactly the same again, took about 6 attempts to get it to reset. Anyone else had this problem?

Are you sure you don’t have a puncture ?

When it does eventually reset, the tyre pressures are all even although a couple of PSI lower than normal but that is down to the temperature. Tyre pressures will always drop in cold weather

Mine did the same yesterday in the cold weather. Rather annoying but I waited for the tyres to warm up in the end and it reset immediately.

Seems odd that it can't cope with a drop in temperature of a few degrees. It's not as though it is that cold in this country, how do they go on in Europe when the temperatures are well below freezing.

Mine did that, pressures were fine and no amount of resetting would put the light out.

Dealer replaced the aerial the TPMS uses and now all is good.

Had a similar problem on my F31 a few years ago. The dealer ended up replacing all 4 TPMS sensors as well as the master control unit under warranty - and scratched the car in the process. Frankly, I don't think they knew what they were doing and having spent the best part of the week arsing around with the car, replacing one TPMS unit at a time and testing, they replaced the whole system.
I reckoned that one or more of the pressure sensors was losing connectivity with the master control unit, as the problem was intermittent. They never figured out which one it was so replaced them all. And replaced the control module for good measure. Hopefully your dealer is more competent than mine was?!

Do the valves look okay? I wonder if the winter weather could have corroded or caused splitting in the rubber stem/seal. If so, there are cheap repair kits available on ebay.

It's not a tyre pressure problem its a TPMS problem. The tyre pressures are a little lower than normal but that's down to the cold weather, but they are equal. The problem is that TPMS keeps asking for a reset but then doesn't complete

Fwiw, I'm up near Birmingham today, and as the temps dipped to minus 1.5, I had the warning come up. Chekcwd/inflated a little whilst having a coffee, and it took forever and a day to reset whilst driving. Got stuck on 99% for ages, but got there in the end.

Mine has been bugging me to check pressures and a reset, but the tyres are within 0.5 PSI of each other. Anyway did the reset and that performed fine. Prob took 3-4 mins.

But then stopped car, went shopping, started the car again - and again was bugging me to check pressure and a reset.

I checked the pressures and 3 tyres were absolutely identical and the 4th about 0.4 PSI difference.

I reset it again.
Just been out now and started the car. All seems to be ok now, fingers crossed.

This morning warning low tyre pressures, re-inflate. I checked and they were down a bit but so was the temperature. Outside temp was 0 degrees, but tyre temps were -4 degrees. Once they had warmed up to 12 degrees temps were up 3 psi. Obviously very sensitive to pressure drops due to the cold. I will just have to get up the energy to put some more air in the tyres to shut it up and stop it complaining at me

I had a exactly same issue a week ago and tried several times to reset it but it didn't work. It just stops at 8% and goes back to the reset menu. But as someone mentioned here, after filling the air in all tyres and trying to reset, it works. It seems like all tyres have quite low air pressure which caused the issue I assume. If you have same problem, try to fill the air first
