M2 exhaust on 335i work cost?

Planning to throw an M2 exhaust I bought onto my 335i given their similarities and would like to keep the dual tips and not the quad tips. I did some research and it seems like any exhaust shop should be able to handle taking the tips from my stock exhaust and attaching them to the M2 exhaust in place of the quad tips.

Seeing as how I never have dealt with an exhaust shop before, what should I expect/negotiate cost wise for such a project of swapping the tips for my stock dual setup and then installing the Frankenstein exhaust on my car? How long should the whole thing take?

Exhaust shops honestly hate trying to jerry rig things into place or using eBay exhausts that require more work than they're worth. But then again materials are fairly cheap and since you're just paying for labor it shouldn't cost much either

Can't answer questions on time/cost as that's cost dependent but i'd say should be no more than $200-300 depending on the complexity.

Also the tips would probably be installed after the exhaust is installed so it can be centered to the bumper and look even.

Welding the new muffler in should be around $100. Swapping out the tips is probably another $50.

I had my M2 exhaust put on my 335i for about $100, but kept the quad tips (and modified the valance as needed).

Good luck! It'll sound awesome :-)

No sound clips yet, running the stock dp. It sounds like a stock M2. Plenty of burbles in sport mode.
