from 4 pots M setup to 6 pots..
Just dropped my Panamera calipers of at the CNC guy for a set of custom brackets to fit them to my 380mm ///M setup... i never liked the look of the front 4 pots..
I would have gone for the 400x36 disc but there is really no more room left in my 20" MB design KV1 wheels.. calipers are a whopping 36cm in length As soon as i get the brackets back , calipers are going in for paint and then ill post some more pics.. Kudos. Honestly took a look at a bunch of these but getting someone to cnc a bracket is scary lol. I spent a good few weeks researching 350-380mm 6piston radial calipers from different cars. Even watch a series where someone details how to get all the correct measurements to make a custom brake adapter and then print with a 3d printer etc. Only had enough guts for powdercoating .
This will be a nice setup. I really wish someone made a bracket for the 17z/18z though. Those are so cheap to find.

Looks amazing. Have you considered a set of LCI 2 Headlights?

Z17/Z18 need to be completely machined ( ears machined off ) and caliper needs to be drilled... so no go!!!! CNCing a bracket is easy, not really higher science If i were you id search for a set of F10 M5 calipers, they can go very nicely with a 380 disc... i had those 6 pots before on my e60 m5 with 400x36 , but now i wanted a bigger caliper My front setup is coming up for sale when i fit the new ones.. |

That looks great. You should spring the extra money for some lightweight rotors.

Have you had to use a different MC for these larger calipers? The piston surface area has to be significantly larger now.

No need to , pistons are not bigger then the 6 pots bmw comp calipers and my friend runs those with 400x36 without any single problem on a 335D F31

This is pretty impressive, will the master cylinder on the car be large enough to accommodate the new calipers or do you have much smaller pistons on them.

I even had to shave of the 4 notches that are on the caliper which gave me another 5mm of room, since the wheels i have do not very well accommodate a bbk, in my 19" 437 wheelsetup i could have easily gone for the 400mm option. That is no option with the MB KV1 wheels, so even now fitment will be very tight! Quote:
They are nothing bigger then the F10 M5 6 pots pistonwise and my friend runs that setup with 400x36 without any problems or shitty brakepedalfeel.. so that shouldnt be a single problem.. Ill update over the weekend.. |

FYI- I recall when researching BremboGT's that for wheel fitment over calipers, Brembo had a certain minimum distance that they recommended between caliper and the barrel of the wheel. It had to do with road debris not being trapped in too small of a space and potentially doing damage. I don't recall the number though. |

These babies have some bite. Drove some S model 992 carreras, panameras and macan s on a roval track today for a Porsche driving experience event. You will be able to stop that wagon on a dime.
If one has wheels with good clearance, and these mounts, are there any other sticking points for getting them to fit? It would be cool if the cad was shared then
