My MPE shows 0 wear since the car was born in 2013, the tips are still flawless after 5+ years. I've received nothing but compliments from many people on the exhaust note.

L O L. I guess I'd be bitter too if I wasted my money trying every single exhaust system out.

Maybe you should sell your BMW and start your own car brand that has better build quality and costs less

The MPE is an overpriced and extremely underwhelming product.

Remus is very high quality and significantly more refined.... and yes louder.

Turn your hearing aids down bro!

Bitter? Haha

This is my passion. Grow up

Lots of MPE fanboys here... first exhaust they've tried and it's the holy grail.

Well you live in California.... and might have a stock DP

Add a little soot and salt and see what happens...

Why you're being so aggressive lol? We're talking about mufflers...

https://topgearsolutions.com/remus-a...free-shipping/ This is pretty much the same price as a new MPE...

An OEM product will be "very high quality too". Also refined I'm sure an OEM product is very refined. Again, when the valve is open, on both systems, the difference in volume is negligible... it's a muffler. it's not like they are both full exhaust systems where there WILL be a difference.

Imagine akrapovic catback vs AWE or meisterschaft... cmon.

If you spec out a MPE vs A Remus. I bet there are hundreds of technical variations/differences between the two.

Forget about the valve and price

Chamber design, routing of air, thickness and quality of raw materials, every bend in the system will contribute to a different tone.

Not to mention your vehicles modifications and the subjectivity of sound.

Do your thing, enjoy the MPE. In my opinion, the Remus blows it out of the water, and I'm going to promote that.

Bitter? I love this stuff.

Nothing is better than finally dialing it in. The experimentation and research is half the fun dude:

I think the point is that you can promote certain mods/products without having to bash on others. Just stating your facts and observations tends to come across as much more genuine than just calling other products garbage.

I don't necessarily disagree with you, and I do believe that you're trying to help others out, but acknowledging that there are plenty of ppl running MPEs that are more than satisfied with them could help from them reacting to you essentially saying what they've got is trash.

It's all about perspective and mutual respect. For what it's worth, I'm running a Remus too, so I'm not butt hurt or anything. Just offering my 2 cents.

Well said

I get passionate about this stuff. I don't mean to be a dick and be rude to other folks mods. I just personally think the MPE is very underwhelming in tone and more importantly build quality. For a little extra $ you can get something that is significantly higher in quality and if it counts, exclusivity.

My apologies to you guys.

Made a quick little vid of my startup with a few light revs. I have cold start delete on my tune since I don't have a cat.

I didn't rev it past around 3500 rpm because the engine was still cold. Just wanted to give you an idea of what it sounds like. This is Sport+ mode with the flap open, btw.

Did you ever run catless DP + stock muffler before catless DP + remus muffler? Curious if you could speak to the difference in volume between the stock muffler and remus muffler with catless DP already installed.

Unfortunately, no. Got the Remus before the dp/tune.

I can give that comparison. I have catless on stock exhaust, and will be installing remus catback this weekend. I can do a before and after and post it here.

I would really appreciate that! My current plan is to buy an exhaust setup for black friday. Remus is the choice I keep leaning towards right now.

I installed mine today, can confirm it's quite a bit louder. Will take the after vid in the next couple of days and post the comparison, comfort is louder than dcs off stock exhaust. It sounds pretty amazing, but I will have to take it easy in the neighborhood.

Also, keep in mind that exhausts can change their tone as they are "broken in", at least that's what I remember reading. Something about the thermal cycling of the new exhaust changing the resonance and such.

It's a used system so it has a bit of carbon inside, but I don't think it saw much mileage . Will see over the next little while.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it! Hard throttle pulls with the windows open is awesome, even better if you have a tunnel/underpass/garage structure to do it in.

Looking forward to seeing/hearing your clips.
