Which Sliding Armrest / Where to buy

I’m looking at the sliding armrest between the front seats that my 2016 340ix doesn’t have.

It appears there are two types. One is the whole armrest that slides, the other is a split armrest where it appears only the driver half slides.

I have Venetian Beige Leather.

(1) does anyone have an opinion on which one is best?

(2) where to buy a Veneatian Beige Leather one?

Thanks.

I’ve never seen a split armrest for an F30. That’s an E90 thing.

Sliding in Venetian Beige leather is part number 51 16 9 285 152.

Actually for its size and complexity it is one of BMWs cheaper parts.

Just a counter to the BMW part being cost sensitive because of "complexity".

It's expensive because it has the standard BMW TAX applied & I did see the stitching on the BMW piece. Will I get a cover with Blue Stitching for my $235+?

A lot like the complex plastic charge pipe costing $210 to replace when it self destructs. Just another BMW Tax, nothing complex when you can buy an alloy one for $125.

Comparing Apple to Oranges.

It's one of the cheapest BMW Parts compared to its complexity.

Your own post of the similar price of a BMW plastic Pipe demonstrates (and proves) my point.

If you want cheaper parts, go buy a Kia.

It’s just the lifting pad and the piece it slides on, although it is leather. The Sensatec one is still ~$191 or so.

I’m sure compared to other BMW parts it is cheap by comparison, just as scary a thought.

No point arguing with the guy. He always has to win and is often times downright nasty with his posts.

Plus shipping.

I just entered

BMW 51 16 9 285 152

Into google, it brought me there. Still kind of spendy to me for what you get.

They make it in every upholstery option. Look here. The sliding armrest in coral red is 51 16 9 285 155.

For whatever reason, the sliding armrest (4AE) is finally available from the factory for US cars, but it’s (almost silently) packaged with wireless charging (6NW).

I admit I don’t handle stupid people well.

Then again, one would think a BMW Owner would know why BMW Parts (and cars) costs more than a Kia.
