You have really had a painful start to the experience... I hope that actually driving the car is enough fun to take the edge off the rest of the crap you've had to deal with.

The car is a blast, but the overall experience isn't worth the money. I'm sure it's a "luck of the draw" type of thing, but still. An M3 was my dream car ever since I was a little kid, and this is my first stepping-stone BMW to achieve that dream. So far, I'm really turned off by the whole thing.

I'm dropping the car off at 1pm today. I'm so nervous about leaving my car with the dealership after all the horror stories I've read about cars getting scratched up, etc. I'm sure most of the time it's fine, but now it's in the back of my head!

Oh well, I'll report back after they give me my shitty 328i loaner.

Got a 428i loaner. Made friends with one of the junior service techs who loved my car and told him to look after it for me. I'll give him a nice tip if everything goes smoothly.

My SA called advising they ordered a leak detection kit and will have it later this morning. More updates to come!

In other news, the 428i loaner is much quieter then my car on the inside.

Don't find the 340i or MPE very loud. Actually disappointed. The 428i must be super quiet lol.

Do you ever smell coolant coming out of the AC? If I drive spiritedly with the AC off and then turn it on, a very strong sweet smell comes out. I have checked both coolant reservoirs and both at max

Yay! Got my car back. They replaced the Leak Detection Module and Vent Pipe with Dust Filter. Hopefully all is good now. I'm happy they were able to order the parts and have it replaced within 24 hours.

Also XRAVE - I've never smelt coolant ever with this car.

XRAVE - I had a similar smell for a bit on my 328 when it was about a year and a half old. It turned out to be a musty air filter that needed to be replaced. Really smelled like coolant, though.
