Steering Issue ?
I've had my 3GT MSport 320d since February and have been very happy with it. Recently I've noticed the steering tugging a bit especially to the left. This seems to happen more often in the first five to 10 minutes from starting up and pulling off with the car sometimes feeling unsettled. This is also intermittent. The car has been into the dealer to be checked and they couldn't find anything wrong.
I've read lots about RFTs some times tram lining but we are driving over roads that we have driven over since we bought the car where we have had no previous issues. The car and tyres are currently on 6000 miles. Does anyone have any ideas? Is it likely the RFTs as they wear or is there something not right with the steering ? Thoughts greatly appreciated. |

Have done an alignment? You could have hit a bad pothole and misaligned a wheel.
Or one of your tires are uneven wear or slight leak. Take it to another shop outside of the dealership for a 2nd opinion. |

Sorry I should have made myself clearer. The car steers in a straight line but occasionally pulls sometimes quite suddenly. This happens normally within 5-10 minutes of starting and one familiar roads. This issue has only recently started so not sure its the RFTs.

Hey Marty,
I guess it's possible that you have a problem with the electric motor of your steering wheel. If it happens seemingly random try to test it with eco pro mode only. Although the steering should be the same in comfort and eco, there are some differences. This is just a tip, let me know if you were able to replicate the error. |
