330xi "woodpecker" sound under load

Hey guys. I've got a a 2017 F31 330xi with 9k miles. I have a sound that has started to concern me. It is most obvious when the engine is lugging up an incline in D (seems to be less chronic in Sport or in Manual when the revs are up). The best I can describe it is almost a woodpecker type noise. Its a bit deeper than your average heat-shield rattle so to speak. I can really only hear it when there are great road conditions with the windows all up, otherwise most cabin noise from the highway typically drones it out.

I will try to capture it on video. The car is in its warranty period, but having experience with dealers already, it's gonna be pretty difficult for them to recreate the noise. It is not pronounce and deep like a rod knock (unfortunately I know this noise from my previous E92).

I know it is a long shot but I was hoping if anyone can chime in or maybe has some similar noises under the same driving circumstances. Thanks!

How much fuel is in the tank? I have the exact same car and have noticed a woodpecker noise when I'm low on fuel. The noise goes away entirely after the next fill-up.

I have the same problem as in this post.

Dealer even swapped out the fuel pump but couldn't fix it. Only happens when I'm below 1/4 tank so I just try to keep it above that.

I've been wondering if the fuel pump always makes that sound, but it's only audible when the pump isn't fully submerged inside the tank.

Could very well be.
