Hi,

I've been given a great offer on an upgrade FMIC for F30s. However, my car is basically stock with a Racechip wound up to max, so should be about an extra 40bhp.

I am wondering if this would cause a lot of lag?

Here is the FMIC in question, let me know your thoughts. Probably an extra 50% capacity I reckon.

Extra 40bhp? No shot lol

what is the size of the intercooler? 5" is OK. according to users here, bigger intake will not cause any turbo lag, and even if your car is all stock, having a larger intercooler will lower your IAF temp

Apparently so, some guy in Taiwan tested it on a dyno. Was 180 stock and 220 on max settings.

Thanks for the reply, not sure on the sizing. The ad does not give dimensions, just that it's for F series chassis.

Might give it a whirl as it's quite cheap

looks like a 5-inch intercooler, i recommend upgrading the stock even on a stage 1. You won't get 40hp as they claim but the car will run cooler, make more power

i suggest you get a trusted brand intercooler for the best results. Lots of nonexpensive options like BMS and MAD ($329 retail). ARM is another good options for only $379
