Reverse bulb replacement - fit issue
I'm ashamed to be asking this but there must be something wrong with what im doing:
I was able to remove the old reverse blub (broke the weird brown plastic clips around it) and now im trying to fit in the new buld, but the new bulb just sits there loose... its like the brown plastic from the old bulb needs to be fitted on it? or i bought the wrong bulb? Can someone plz guide me. Here's the new bulb in attachment. I have a 2014 435i F32 Thank you! |

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that got confused with this too. I did the exact same thing as you when I swapped mine out!
You'll need to find bulbs with the same base as the one you removed. Try searching for pw24w instead of pw16w, and you should find results with the correct base.

Wrong bulb. The plastic clips around the base of the bulb that you broke off are part of the bulb. If you're trying to use an LED bulb the base must look the same as this.

I got these from iJDMTOY on Amazon, but the build quality is trash. Luckily they haven't given me any trouble yet, I've had them for just over a year.
