Photos of our F30 miles

I'm curious to see some other high mile f30's. Please post photos of your miles. Don't forget to add your engine type and any serious issues if any.

Mine is a '13 n55. No major issues.

It sure does! High or low. It doesn't matter.

I don't have a pic handy. My 2012 F30 335i (N55) reached 86,000 miles yesterday. Two issues I had:

1 ) AC compressor
2 ) Valve cover

Looking into a suspension refresh next.

What was the cost to fix the AC compressor and when did it go out?

I've had the car since March of this year: 28,450 miles, about 1500 of which I've put on. Trips back to the dealer: a rear bumper repaint on their dime, and to correct a taillight malfunction and find an annoying rattle, both under warranty. (The rattle turned out to be a lipstick tube in an under-seat air vent.)

Otherwise, solid and terrific car so far.

That reminded me, when I first got my car, (bought used) I went on a slope, face uphill, put in reverse, gas hard than slam the brakes, A LOT of things came out of the under seat air vents, money, paper clips, small screw driver etc. Everyone needs to do this at least annually. BMW should have put a cover on it.

I rarely drink or eat while driving, and I use a pen with great care when recording my gas purchases and mileage. And I've instructed my girlfriend not to handle her lipstick or a pen or anything small like that while in the car!

The AC compressor failed at 81k miles. My cost OTD was around $1,100. Please notice I bought my own compressor for $328. The shop wanted $820 just for that part.

In addition: the expansion valve, O-ring, and condenser were also replaced.

No leaks for now. Two have been fixed:

1 ) The valve cover was replaced at 83,000 miles. That was $1,032 OTD. Please notice the whole valve cover was replaced (not only the gasket).

2 ) Oil level sensor at 78,000 miles. Replaced under CPO.

2013 F30 335i MSport 82,000

2013 F30 335i MSport MT 82,000 miles (recently purchased).

Same as Fredo, just had my compressor fail at 82,000 miles and plan on DIYing it this weekend. Indy shop wanted $2400 for the work. Bought a Denso compressor, expansion valve, and drier off RockAuto and using my local PepBoys ($100 vs $200 at Indy) for evac and recharge. Also bought seals, will see how bad they look when I get into it. They could not find any leaks in the system (ie seals seem to be holding).

They also said my oil filler housing gasket was leaking (I knew I had a small leak, hadn't been able to track it down). Plan on DIYing this also in the near future.

Previous owner put on BC Racing Coilovers (installed them wrong, but after I got them in correctly, work great with a low stance), air intake, catback exhaust, and MHD tuned. Slowly working through minor annoyances, otherwise been a dream up until the compressor. Replaced a well loved 230,000 mile e36, hoping to get to the same OD with the F30!

I'm guessing that my oil being above "max" a few thousand miles ago and now it's getting close to the minimum line. Might be the same issue that you guys' have had.

I've got 90,000 km, no issues, no leaks, knock on wood.

Except it sounds like a diesel when its cold and idling, really annoying.

Just got it back from having the steering screws replaced on recall, they were recalled in dec 2018. BMW couldn't find anything wrong with it.

It's the dreaded N20 320i
