Talking MPS Installed

Finally received MPS kit from Getbmwparts.com yesterday and took my car to the local tuner shop this morning have it installed. It tooks 4 hours to complete the install and my car is finally lowered. Will upload the pictures after I got home.

Here are some crappy pictures I shot at work. Somehow I feel the driver side is slightly higher than the passenger side. Can you guys see the difference? and is this normal?

It feels more stiffer than M sports suspension. Can't really tell if it minimizes the body roll since I only have it on for 3 hrs.

It lowers 10mm both front and rear. The kit comes with the springs and shocks. I didn't even open the kit..haha. A local tuner shop did everything for me.

It feels stiffer? I think the M Sport suspension is already stiff. What made you choose MPS over KW or Bilstein? I am in desperate need of some coil overs.

i had square set of toyo 245/40/18 and when you have these on you really feel its soft compared to sticky tires

now am back to stock potenza rft and they feel equal to the street tires.
tires > suspension upgrade.

a little stiff and I do feel the improvement on the body roll when taking corners.

I don't really need the adjustment on the suspensions and MPS only drops 10mm on both sides since my wife still drives the car. It is a better fit for my need.

I've had my MPS for 9 months now. Basically installed after 3 months new.

I found the ride quality on the MPS improve greatly after 1000Km. The shocks definitely felt more compliant. The initial break in period felt great but I installed on winter tires so I didn't get a full feeling of it until the summer tires were installed.

I run 245/40/18 square set up in the summer on Pilot A/S 3 compared to my winter set up of 225/50/16 (yes, that's 16") X-ice Xi2

The tires really change the characteristic, but in the winter, I want a safe car and comfy ride over the jutted roads. Using non RFT is the key though. Comparing the ride to a non sport suspension 3 series (dad just got a new 3), the RFT definitely crashes over bumps and rides harsher while I don't get that same feeling in summer nor winter with the MPS.

Handling in the winter is soft with the large sidewalls and soft characteristic of the tire. Probably equal to the 704 suspension. I'm sure with a better performance winter tires, I'd have less lean and more confidence to push on dry days, but in the winter, self preservation is the key.

in the summer, I love the set up. I've had coil overs in a past car and they handled even better, but this MPS is a great compromise for a conservative drop, no fiddling with settings on a coil over (mine's seized up eventually) and perfect ride quality. The handling was like my previous owned MINI, which is a great achievement due to the larger car size with the F30.

I'm not a track guy so this is a street focused upgrade for me. But I do know that someday if I want to keep my F30 longer, the MPS is more than good enough if I slap on even better tires and better brake pads.

I'm sure its better than stock sport suspension ,but if it's not enough for me then am screwed, as you can adjust coils as you like so if they are stiff i can go decrease the stiffness or vice versa.

and to note i already have sway bars H&R installed, they decreased body-roll but still suspension is soft anyway.

I dont really need the adjustability. No doubt it will be nice if I have it, but it's not a must have for me on the 335i.

If your car is a daily driver like mine is, I'd prefer the MPS over coilovers not only because of cost, but also because when the shocks are worn, you may be able to order new ones and replace them with only a day for downtime. With coilovers, you would probably have to send them in to be re-valved which contributes to substantial downtime. If the MPS is a 90-95% solution at 1/2 the cost of coilovers, I'm all for it.

Parts ~$1595 if you have an M Sport RWD already (which already has sway bars)

Thank you! So this is about inline with coilovers (KW V1, BC Racing). For the same price I would prefer to get ride height adjustment.

I've read that KW sits very low but I'm not sure if that issue has since been corrected.

Personally, I would prefer stock height or minimal drop for practicality reasons. I hate to be the idiot that is always worried about scraping his/her bumper.
