Shawn, I did some coding (Fembody, HU_CIC, HU_NBT) a couple months ago with success. However, I just tried to use my SOS button to set up with BMW and it does not work. Do you think I could have somehow disabled it during my coding?

Anything is possible, but it seems unlikely. Was the Button ever working?

The first thing I would do is call BMW Assist and give them your VIN / Account Number, and have them verify everything is correct on their side.

Anyone know what needs to be changed/coded to have the voice response with a British accent?

I'm from Europe, before one week bought F30 in usa. I want to know, it's possible to code everything from USA standarts to EUR like farenheits to celsius, mph to kmh and other things?

If you get someone to give you their patch / token for "testing" purposes, more power to you.

However, I just don't follow the logic of your appeal.

Since it is proven to work, and what you can change is well documented, there is nothing to "test".

Please help !
I want to update the NBT with preserving the original VIN.
Enjoyed here this instruction.
Go to Comfort Mode => TAL-Calculating
- Read and Save FA
- Activate FA
- Read and Save SVT Actual as SVT_ist
- Create an SVT Target
Under KIS / SVT Target Calculation Strategy, select Complete Flash
Select I-Step (shipm.) to match your original I-Level as read and shown in VCM I-Step (Shipment)
I-Step (target.) will be unselectable as it is fixed based on current PSdZData I-Level
Do a KIS / SVT Target Calculation and Save as SVT_soll
- Do a TAL Calculation and Save as SVT_tal

Go to Expert Mode => TAL-Processing
Load TAL (SVT_tal)
Load SVT Target (SVT_soll)
Select "Read FA" button.

On ECU Tab, uncheck let top box in column "All" (All checked boxes should toggle to unchecked)
On ID Base Row for HU_NBT, make check boxes in blFlash, swDeploy, cdDeploy, and ibaDeploy columns.
Press Check software availability
Press Start and it will proceed with processing TAL to flash HU_NBT with new firmware.

But that's got this error:

Yes, those are my instructions.

When you say you want to preserve the VIN, I assume this is a retofitted NBT Head Unit, and you are trying to keep the original Donor VIN in it which is different then the car VIN?

Hi Shawn,

I installed everything today, being E-Sys v3.23.4 and PSdZData 50.4, copied (and renamed) the patch files, copied the token into a new subdirectory and pointed E-Sys to the right file in the right directory, but when I click on 'Coding' in E-Sys, I get the following error:

EstCmDocumentCorruptException: Error during base64 decoding of EST token!
__________________________________________________ ___
com.bmw.esys.commons.exception.EsysException: An error occurred while processing the EST file "C:\ESysData\E-Sys EST\xxxxxxxx-esys.est". See details for more information. [C157]

Any ideas?

You must specify an FA to be used, and manually enter the Donor VIN like this:

Are your patch files for E-Sys 3.23.4 or another version of E-Sys as they are E-Sys version specific.

The folder name is "E-Sys323-EST-Patch-noPW", so I'm assuming that they're for 3.23.x, whether x is 4 or some other subversion, I don't know

I've emailed the source, asking if he knows what could cause the error, so I guess I'll have to wait

Thanks...
