Made the coding yesterday to an f32 and i can confirm that this type of coding has effect only to bc/screen colour not to whole cluster.

on the new f36 how do i know wich led light goes to what like i wnat the pointer to be red or yelow and the numbers to be bright white/blue or just white and other stuff red or yelow, so how do i know wich led gives what color? to what??

Please please please can you show me how to open the speed pointers i have no idea have to open them. I can remove the cluster open it all the way to moderbord but when i want to open it to change the leds i cantget it to open. The pointers and the white smal boxes are ateched on the leds. I dont wantto break anything but maybe i can just popp them off?? How do i remove it completely

FYI, the reason for the orange/red color on the night display is to reduce loss of night vision. Aircraft instrumentation uses the same technique. After driving BMWs for 16 years with the orange night illumination, I find it very distracting when driving a rental car without that feature.

Has anyone succeded in changing the display for the basic version of the KOMBI?
In my car the ECU is called BKOMBI, not KOMBI, and when I tried to change it I got some error message.
The default value for DIM_NACHT_EIN was 00, not 32 as described in the cheat sheet.

Having the same issue on my 2014 F32.

Coded my brothers 2013 F30 and the cluster stays white at night.
But on my F32 it stays orange and under 3007 DIM_Nacht_Ein shows
UNKNOWN
Werte= FF

I know I’m doing it correctly because I’ve successfully done it on the F30
My F32 dials have had the white LED conversion so would really like to have the small screen stay white too (its white during the day, switches to orange at night)

Both F30 and F32 have the BKOMBI cluster with the small display.

Any ideas guys?

Mr Almaretto said in another post that this code won’t work in cars with post 2014 software.

In case anyone would like to change the LED's in their 6WA cluster, here's a Youtube video I found that shows how to do it. I'm kind of scared to do it with my car still under factory warranty, but eventually I'll replace the LED's with blue LED's which will look sick at night. Good luck!
