Winter Tires-225/40/18 on F30 Sport?

Looking for a set of winter wheels/tires for my F30 Sport Line.

I want to get Blizzak LM-60 RFTs, but only find them in 225/40/18 on tirerack. Will that create any problems when paired with an 18 x 8 wheel?

Or does anyone by chance recognize which style wheels these are? http://desmoines.craigslist.org/pts/4067101596.html

And know if they will work, and what size tires I would need?

That is OEM wheel style 44, was an option on 3 Series E36 and E46.

8x17", ET47

They are possible to use on F30 with 225/50-17 tires (if you want a F30 OEM size). But you need spacers since the offset is high, 10, 12 or 15mm front and rear.

Note, 8x17" will not work if you have M Sport Brakes or M Performance Brakes.

Excellent, sounds like these might work for me. Where do I get spacers? Ordering the tires from tirerack.com.

I can't help you with tips on dealers, since I live in Europe. But for exampel H&R produce spacers for F30, and it's a brand with good reputation.

Don't forget that you need longer bolts when you add spacers!

Here is a link to a thread where F30 spacers is discussed, maybe can help you: f30post.com

That dimension right there is the OEM tyre dim. for 18 x 8 wheels.

225/40-18 was OEM dimension for previous 3 Series (E46 and E90), but F30 has 225/45-18 as OEM dimension for 8x18".

Thus are F30 tires about 3% taller compared to older 3 Series.

Ok, I think I can cross the 17s off my list. Spacers and bolts sound like a lot of work/money each time I want to go back and forth between my winter set and my 19" staggered set.

If I go with an 18 x 8 wheel with a 32 offset like this one http://goo.gl/c3szm5, will I still need spacers or bolts?

8x18" ET32 will be just fine!

Only 2mm wider than OEM 18", no need for spacers.
