looks cool man (y)
but when you show the wastegate actuation , it pulls it further than the lever can give , the plate where your actuator is mounted to flexes along . was that before or after you have used insta ?

I'm kind of disappointed that those components have been disconnected with no chance of reconnecting them. Yeah we know the build quality of the doc racing parts is as good as it gets but, to remove components and monitors seems lazy. Not only that but to have fitment issues where not everything gets bolted like it should be is concerning (the waste gate having only two bolts, the extra bolt for the waste gate mounting bracket that you only put two back on when three were taken off). I guess I don't really know anything about upgrading turbos on a car seeming this is my first turbo'd one, so please if I'm making something out of nothing let me know. Also, can the filter be removed while the turbo is installed?

The wastegate bracket is a universal part. The EFR turbo cannot physically mount a bolt behind the oil drain, that's why there isn't a hole there on the turbo. I showed it in the video so you can watch it again if you missed it. It's just a characteristic of how the turbo is clocked specifically on our cars. Again, not an issue. No, you need to unbolt the turbo and lift it to get the filter off. |

Yeah, I mean if you do it once every 20k then you can do it while the oil is draining during an oil change. It's not hard, just 4 nuts and lift the turbo.

Kern, thanks again for all your informative videos. They're all very enjoyable to watch. With that said, here are a couple of questions I have that I'd love an answer to.
1. Weeeellllllllllllllll, how has it been???? Your "initial impression" video didn't touch on how the car was driving while still on your existing tune. How did it feel? Did you do any dynos with it to see what gains you had with just adding the snail (without doing the custom tune)? 2. E85 (or anything else) is extremely difficult to come by here in South-South Florida. I know you were targeting 550 whp with some sort of Ethanol mixture, but what would it have done with just 93 pump gas? 3. What would be the difference if this whole thing was on the Dorsch Stage 2, instead of the supra pump? |

1. Great. I had some delays getting custom tuned so I ran OTS maps for a while, and it performed with no issues. I have no intentions to dyno the OTS maps, but I will be sharing before/after dragy times. 2. My guess is around 500-520whp on pump gas 3. You can expect more power/torque by increasing the boost further if you have ethanol available. You could definitely hit 600+ with an ethanol mix. |

Thanks for another awesome video. Question about the "safety" of running an upgraded turbo on an OTS map. I don't intend on wanting more power after Stage 2+ E30, and plan on getting a VTT GC just to not tax the stock turbo to nearly its limit and hold power better to redline. I'm wondering if there's any safety issues running that long term?

I finally got some dynojet results with the TU pump. This is a great example that you can reference if people are curious about how much HP the TU pump can support. Upgraded fueling will be coming soon because I think the clutch can handle more torque.

yep, if the video is over 5 min or so then I just extend the outro to play the youtube algorithm game. Even though my most popular video happens to be 7:20

Sounds awesome!
Could the B58 Doc Race kit be modified to fit a RHD 440i. Custom made downpipe?
