Meyle Tension struts popping
Did/does anyone have experience with these tension struts making a popping noise? I only have it happen at very low speed and mainly reversing at near full lock. Parking basically…
I verified the torque measurements and installed at ride height, so I'm a little surprised to still be dealing with this. Thanks for any help |

Bit strange. As long as you torqued everything to proper settings while suspension is at ride-height, that should not be occurring.

I feel like I had similar noises before the install, but much more frequently immediately after. Starting to think that the added stiffness is making other suspension components flex more- hence the noise.

Odd I have this behavior in my car after lowering it. No control arm changes (same arms from factory at 86K). Have you lowered your car recently ?
At first I thought it was my axles, but then landed on the springs in my full floating front rotors. Now I am not so sure anymore

Your note is starting to convince me that there might be something in my theory. Maybe it's the control arms now making (more) noise? |

Was able to get a vid of me manually turning the passenger wheel. Only the drivers side makes noise.

Nope that is not what I hear. Mine sounds like a really taut guitar string being strum

I had them installed about 2 weeks ago while I was in Alaska and probably hear the same noise as you are. I've been trying to think of where else the noise could be created from. Definitely loudest while backing up.

Well it's nice for me at least to hear I'm not the only one. So strange I see no mention of issues elsewhere!

From what I can tell the mount is almost identical to the brand new one I put on. If anything it spins a bit easier… |
