Final Results - DAW,DS2,E45 Blend

I think I've finally found the sweet spot for a daily driver ... full write up below!

Setup:
DAW Flow Max Turbo (V2.5+ with the UF compressor wheel upgrade)
Dorch Stage 2 HPFP
FBO (CTS Intake, VRSF charge pipe, VRSF downpipe)
DI only ... no meth, no port injection

Finally got the new turbo on and got the car to the rollers this morning.

With up to 30 PSI and 15 timing up top in the Rocky Mountains of Calgary Canada, we made 615 WHP on the dyno at 3500 ft elevation. Very very happy given the altitude and crappy air we have up here. We had to limit boost to 24-25 psi up to 4500 rpms (likely LPFP struggling to feed the HPFP on wind up), but a nice linear build from there all the way to redline (see attached log). Look at how flat the torque curve is ... and she pulls like a freight train all the way to redline.

Huge shout out to my tuner Dustin from Braun Performance WrxToBeamerGuy for helping me dial in this absolute beast of a daily grocery getter. Check out that curve! I've worked with several of the "best of the best" tuners out there, and Dustin hands down takes the cake ... a real up and comer in the B58 tuning community. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and made me feel comfortable and involved at every stage of the process from start to finish. We knocked out the tune in record time, and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend Dustin to anyone/everyone out there in the B58 community to help you dial in your car, he is an absolute wizard. Thank you Dustin for dialing in the blue monster ... she absolutely boogies!!

Nice. SAE numbers to boot, which generally read ~3% higher than STD. Let’s see some 60-130 times!

Your log looks really great especially for running the UF compressor wheel. Incredible numbers!

I really enjoyed working with talontdone on his build (The Blue Monster). While we were tuning the beast we had it dialed in a couple of times but then we would start seeing inconsistencies between logs. I had a hunch that the methanol injection at the charge pipe was unevenly distributing fueling to each cylinder which resulted in some cylinders having more fueling than others and ultimately led to timing corrections. We disabled the system and sure enough the logs started to clean up.

As for the boost we didn't want to push it too hard during spool so that the DS2 could keep up. We had a beautiful load curve at 29psi but a couple of days before dyno day Talontdone asked if we could turn up the boost up top. This meant I had one or two revisions to achieve more boost up top which we did end up accomplishing. When we saw 31psi we called it a day.

This log has a much more traditional looking load curve but is at 29psi and is the revision before the log he posted above. https://datazap.me/u/wrxtobimmerguy/...-45&zoom=58-93

When I went to turn it up to 31psi (log posted by talontdone above) I only had one revision which meant I couldn't spend several revisions smoothing out the load curve to look like the log I included in this post but ultimately it's not a big deal.

I am super happy with these results because as we all know running performance cars at high altitude isn't the same as running them at sea level.

I prefer staying in constant communication with people as I work on their cars because everyone wants something different and no one wants to feel like they aren't being heard or they don't know what is going on between revisions while someone is tinkering with their expensive car.

Not yet - in desperate need of new tires which should be within the next week or two max! Thinking mid 10s but time will tell. Will post as soon as I have 60-130 and 1/4 mile times.

Good catch. That's correct, STD generally reads higher.

I think almost everyone reports SAE now days though, don't they? Most the dyno's I see online in our community are SAE.

I'm gonna have to get my car dynoed again on an SAE dyno and having the dyno be put on AWD mode. My car in roller mode did not like being on the dyno whatsoever and I was dealing with the 2048 torque limiter the entire time

Get the run files and you can convert to both - but a lot people report STD because it reads higher, I prefer SAE.

Did you put it in dyno mode on the dash?

Whow, what a torque curve. 750nm until past 6,000 rpm. If my calculations are correct, this means 700hp to the crank at around 6,500 rpm. And absolutely clean. Almost no timing corrections. And even not too much timing ("just" 14.5 degrees while others need 16-18 degrees, what could be a risk for the pistons). Must fell like a rocket!

Please do me a favour and do a 100-200 km/h measurement, if possible. I would say sub 6 seconds.

Not sure on the weight of the car, but I’d guess 5.7-5.8 100-200 & 6.7 60-130.
