And even not too much timing ("just" 14,5 degrees, while others need 16-18 degrees, what could be a risk for the pistons). Must fell like a rocket!

Please do me a favour and do a 100-200 km/h measurement, if possible. I would say sub 6 seconds.
Putting a ton of pressure on the pistons too can also be risky too. These cast pistons are sh*t

Haha yes it’s a rocket! WrxToBeamerGuy has the car dialed in amazingly well. We both decided we would prefer boost to timing so to speak and so I’m probably running a tad more boost than most and a bit less timing advance. I’ll definitely get some draggy runs in here shortly, but yes the car absolutely boogies!

I think you and I probably make very similar power based off your logs I’d say 600whp+ for sure … you’re running more timing, but less boost. I bet she’s a rocket!

Ok, I thought it's RWD. In case of xDrive and due to the higher weight, I would guess around 6.2-6.3 seconds for 100-200 km/h. But let's see, when you test it next time :-)

Very nice numbers especially considering the DA. I recall your post of you wanting to get a bit more power and you were stuck between staying DI or running PI. Running PI would benefit you in the long run if you decide to build the motor and trans. But if you plan to keep it simple Xtreme DI or Spool performance DI plus the exhaust cam would be able to get you up to the 750whp+ range. I'd estimate TQ to be around 650 to keep the transmission happy.

We do need more data to confirm my theory but a good starting point would be other engines such as the LS motors which utilizes the LT4 pump (which is the same pump as the stage 2 pumps).

The link posted below is an example on how the corvette's upgrade their fuel system utilizing upgraded pump with an exhaust cam. I also attached information of what exactly this kit for their engines.

https://www.lingenfelter.com/PROD.ht...4#.WoxZrJM-fq1

"This kit includes a set of eight flow matched 27 grams/second direct injection fuel injectors, a 12.0 mm bore high flow direction injection fuel pump and a LPE GT35 camshaft featuring a 7.85 mm fuel pump lobe. This results in a pump displacement of 2.6 cc per camshaft revolution with flow testing showing volumetric efficiency exceeding 90%. This results in a high pressure fuel supply system that is able to support over 1200 lbs-ft of torque and 1435 HP at 6800 rpm (assuming 0.52 BSFC) with injector pulse widths of roughly 5.5 ms."

great information - thank you for sharing! I’ve decided I’m going to go with upgraded injectors from SPOOL. Stay tuned for the next chapter…

I would look into upgrading your HPFP while you're at it too. You will be able to squeeze out a tiny bit of power before you max out the HPFP. Like wait for the FX350. Spool FX200 gets out flown by the XDI/Spool injectors

I don't think 350 is coming out for gen 1, is it?

Keep us posted. I think I'm going to go this route as well. Are you doing the 50% or the 75% flow increase? Looks like about a $300 difference.

There was some confusion going around regarding the FX-350 for it being for Gen1, but it was only intended being built for Gen2. I thought the FX-350 would be for Gen1, but nope the FX-200 is what actually came out. Regardless, the difference in flow between the two HPFPs is minimal and the last 3 numbers represents bar pressure not flow. Perhaps in the future, HPFP R&D will be more sophisticated and limits will continue rising but it will be difficult as our platforms HPFP is quite maxed (on stock cam) and we only have 1 HPFP unlike the S55/S58.

CAM with a fuel lobe modification is the only way to increase flow beyond DS2.5 unfortunately.

Yup, it is what it is.

I’ve actually decided to go with the XDI injectors, which I believe are +75% should arrive in about two weeks. Will pair these with the Dorch exhaust cam lift for a bit more fueling help across the board. Should be fun! Stay tuned.

Any updates on these injectors?
