Bought wheels need Fitment Help
I have recently bought wheels for my 2016 BMW 328i xdrive they are Enkei TSV 18x9.5 +40mmand the tires are 235/40R18. The back fits just fine but the fronts are hitting the strut. Should I send them back to fitment industries or get spacers? If so what size should I get?

you need a 5mm front spacer
who chose the tire and wheel specs for you? if it was you, i am surprised FI didn't question it. if they chose it, i am even more surprised 1)lowest offset for 9.5" to fit up front is ET35 or +35) 2)except for F34(GT), OEM diameter is 26", +/- a few tenths, for all F3/4 series. 235/40/18=25.4" will increase fenderwell gaps and cause your speedo/odometer to indicate/accrue higher than actual. 3)265 fits perfectly on 9.5". in order to mount a 235/40 on 9.5" each tire bead must stretch 15mm to reach the bead seat on the 9.5" rim. unless the curb protector is unusually wide, i imagine your wheel is exposed without any protection. with a mild stretch of 5mm per bead, 255/40/18 is the tire size is what i would have used on 9.5". |
