LED headlight control unit module question

So I got a 2017 F34 330i GT with broken headlights. I am buying new headlight housings, most of the modules are okay so I will be just taking them off the broken headlights and putting them onto the new one, except 1 module which I have to buy a new/used one as well.

My question is, do I have to buy the exact same p/n control unit module as the other headlight or can they be different?

Current p/n: 63117457873

Realoem shows p/n: 63117457875 which ENDED, and replaced by 63117492028 and then replaced by 63118494844.

Do I have to find another 63117457873 or can it be the other 2 replaced p/n's? Or will the headlights not work if two different p/n control unit modules are on each headlight?

No one knows? Or how about can used headlight modules be programmed onto a new car/vin?

Anytime Realoem shows a part has been superseded the new part is compatible with the old. That's what 'Exchangeable retrospectively' means.

Okay, but the other part is can a used LED headlight module be programmed into a new car/vin? My passenger headlight has the original module, while my driver headlight has the new used module with a different part number.
