CIC headunits cannot play video files from USB (only audio).

DVDs will work without issues though. I have burnt episodes/seasons of certain shows onto DVD+RW and it plays well.

On my 2013 (with Nav and snap-in adapter for iPhone), I could play videos from my phone on the drive screen. I lost that feature when I upgraded to a 2014.

I believe with CIC, you can play videos using the iPhone if you have the Snap-in adapter.

In your 2014, it should be NBT headunit, meaning you should be able to play video files directly from a USB thumb drive, which I think is better than playing from iPhone.
