Black dakota leather
Hi fellow BMW fans, I bought a used 430 with black Dakota leather. It has a couple of spots in the rear seats that look kind of purple-ish. It almost looks like the black pigment was bleached out. I brought it over to a local interior repair shop. The owner didn't know what caused it. Before opening her own shop she detailed used BMWs at two local dealerships. She said that she has seen this many times with the black interior but doesn't know what causes it. Her only recommendation was to dye the seats. Has anyone else run into this?
