Typically I wouldn't want to see it, but in my case I haven't driven the car for a month so i'd say it's working out the kinks. And like I said, resetting adaptations might help.

I was actually more concerned on how it would react during a shift. When shifting fast it spikes to ~3200, but I've seen that with the stock pump too. On this log I deliberately clutched in and let the throttle close before getting back on it to see if it would control the pressure drop, which it did. During the pull it'll hold pressure through the RPM range, so not as concerned about how it'll respond under load.

Ran a quick log today after B58TU pump install.
Rail pressure holding to the target ok. Everything stock just running MHD Stage 1 93oct/98RON map on 99RON fuel. Any chance of some feedback on the rest of the log as only purchased the monitor module last week and still learning? Thanks. https://datazap.me/u/m140bcs/mhd-sta...og=0&data=4-17 |

Looks pretty good, you should try Stage 2 maps
Cylinder 1 and 2 have some minor timing corrections, cylinder 1 is pretty common, but nothing to worry about. How many miles on your car and how many since flashing the tune?

could some one have a look at a log for me thanks.
mhd stage 2 98RON map i am using uk 99ron shell v power boost seems to be low to me and my butt dyno says the same after switching from jb4 using 18psi of boost. https://datazap.me/u/cola94/log-1?lo...23-24-25-26-43 |

Car has done 50k but I've only been running the MHD map for a few 1000 miles. I'm looking at buying the Stage 2 map next week and then if all looks good on the logs I'll look into a custom MHD tune. Need some dry weather, non stop rain in the UK. Quote:
Which adaptations would I need to reset? Last edited by M140_BCS; 01-13-2020 at 04:12 PM.. |

When you record a log have it in 4th gear rolling at 2000 RPM then go WOT. This one started at 4500 RPM.

Custom tune at E50, stock turbo, upgraded HPFP, best I've seen so far is 470 whp (SC_B5X) You can try using Codes>Reset Adaptions in the MHD flasher.

Personally I don't like the canned octane boosters. It's very expensive way of increasing octane compared to ethanol and you do not get the oxygenation and cooling benefits. Can you get to a station with E85? https://www.bioethanolcarburant.com/...e-station-e85/ Alternatively, you could buy a drum of E85 from someone like Sodifuel Racing https://www.sunocoracefuels.com/fuel/e85-r

i have now loaded the 102RON map and made a log last night, everything seems good and the boost is now targeting high 17 psi with very little timing drops despite using lower octane fuel although i can see from the log that once im in 6th gear cylinder 1 does drop. ive attached the log from last night and this is a 4th-6th gear pull letting off at 155mph, in mexico of course. https://datazap.me/u/cola94/102ron-log?log=0&data=3-11 |

If you can add some E85. You should be OK to run up to E30 on this map. Say you have 3 gallons of Shell vPower left in the tank, add 4.5 gallons E85 and 5.5 gallons Shell vPower. Or you can use 5 gallon jerry cans and add 3.35 gallons vPower and 1.8 gallons E85 to each. This will give you E30 assuming the E85 is actually 85% ethanol. If the E85 was actually E50 you'd end up with E18 and still be a nice boost. Also, reset the logging to MHD default settings, there's no harm and there are some things you aren't logging that are useful e.g. rail pressure and load

unfortunately E85 isnt readily available in the UK and the only stuff i can find online is racing E85 and its about £85 per 25 litres so not cheap at all. i have a can of octane booster ready to throw in when i get my dyno session booked as a 'this is what the car is capable of' dyno run but ill probably end up just running the 98RON map as a daily. im still getting to grips with logging with MHD and i didnt realise that unchecking those boxes meant they werent logged at all but i have since checked every box so i log everything and then ill choose what i want to graph. |

why so little parameters in the log? no load, gear, torque etc?

I am still getting used to logging with MHD and didn't realize unchecking the boxes meant they weren't logged at all. I thought they would still be logged but just not on the graph. I will be running some more logs once the weather clears up so I can check on the HPFP pressure. |

I've bought a vbox sport from ebay so I can record 100-200 times from stock through to stage 2. |

EDIT: I got 2 100-200 runs, 1st one was 7.5 seconds and 2nd was 9.0 seconds. An average of 8.25 seems fairly close to where it should be but take those times with a pinch of salt 😂 Last edited by Colauk; 01-18-2020 at 07:00 AM.. |
