Buckled wheel

Had my f31 at the dealer today, it was in for its first brake fluid service, they also done a visual health check video which showed that the front o/a wheel is slightly buckled, it’s a 19” 442m wheel, has anyone had any experience of getting a buckled wheel straightened or is it best to get a new wheel??

It took me by surprise as there’s no wobble or anything through the steering, steering doesn’t pull to left or right.

Don’t fancy paying dealer prices for a replacement at £800 but I was told as long as it’s not losing air or causing steering issues it should be fine.

I know it’ll bug me so I’d rather get it sorted one way or another so if anyone has any recommendations on who’s best to use for wheel straightening, I’d appreciate it.

Most alloy wheels which have low profile tyres are buckled to some extent or another (perhaps not always visible). I went to get a wheel straightened for the same reason and the place advised not to do it if it wasn’t losing air and could be balanced up ok.

Have used Wheel Works in Crawley for refurbishment on a couple of sets of Audi wheels over the last few years. Top quality finish that lasted well.
They were able to do a weld repair for a minor crack at sensible cost and offer a service to straighten wheels.

The dealer service guy also said it would be fine if it’s not losing air, think I’ll leave it but keep an eye on eBay for a replacement wheel.

Thanks for the recommendation, a bit far from me though. I’m going on holiday in April from Gatwick so may look into them if I haven’t resolved the problem before then.

On my F30 328i the rear n/side wheel was buckled by a pothole. I took it in because the wheel arch liner was cracked and after inspection the dealer picked up that the inner rim of the rear n/side wheel was buckled. You could barely see it but I opted to replace it just for safety's sake. Reminds me, I still have the old wheel sat in my garage.
