I had a B8 S4 when it was first released (terrible experience-sold before 7,000 miles). Used to do a lot of the original vagcom coding with some of the guys on Audizine. Iiked some aspects of it, but I'm a BMW guy through and through. For your steering issue, I fear it actually could be something programmable, as my M3 seems to really have improved some of the gripes I had with some of the F models, my 5GT included. Your car is beautiful none the less.

Perfect daily. I'm such a sucker for wagons, especially BMWs. I wish they would offer an F81 or an F11 diesel here.

Your car is modded perfectly though. Love how it looks!

Add to that the fact that, however fuel efficient a 2L turbo 4cyl is terms of litres/100km, the fact remains that it required premium fuel which costs $0.20 more than regular gas or diesel around my parts.

After all is said and done, the 328d literally halved my fuel costs and instead of refuelling 2 times a week, I can go 1.5-2 weeks between fuel stops.

I loved my Audi's, the wagon pictured above was my 3rd one. They just don't have an AWD diesel in the A4/5 lineup in Canada. Also, they chose to abandon the sport wagon market segment.

BMW just seem to tick all the boxes by offering a 3 series diesel, sport wagon, with AWD, and with MSport
congratulations man, sharp looking ride....welcome to the right side of the fence

As with the steering.
You can not really compare a mature tech like hydraulic steering next to a first generation electric steering.
The feel of the latter, or lack of is a given, be it a bimmer or auto union.
As for your car and choices, it looks great.
Enjoy it and drive safe!

Yep. again the eps. Are you there Scott? I few posts ago you raped me bout going on and on about the eps but see? I aint the only one. Congrats on the car gorgeous. Its a shame you only now managed to look into bmw cause its surely not been its brightest time. If you jumped from an audi a4 10 years ago into an E46 THEN i promise you it would have blown you away the difference between the 2.
