Stumbled upon this post when trying to research why the NBT_EVO2 from a 2017 M2 does not have the "longvin" parameter but rather it is "UNBELEGT" and all 17 parameters are "00".

I am trying to use this feature in the process of activating carplay, having a correct vin but I am not sure what to do here. I successfully did this in the past with 2 other F series cars (2016 F20 125i and 2019 F30 330i).

Does anyone know why this is like this? Is there anything I can do to have this as a LONGVIN parameter with the correct hex for the 17 character VIN?

CAFD_00001EF6_006_025_106 is too old. LONGVIN was added later in newer CAFD.

Yes, but most likely need to flash NBT2 with new firmware to get new enough version.

Updating EVO firmware has no effect on existing FSC Codes.
