Did anyone buy chains made by Thule: K Summit series?

Same situation - based in SoCal, summer performance tires, occasional visits to Big Bear.

Funny i ran into this. Live in Reno, NV bought my car in sacramento can't bring it back till weather clears. Was looking into chains also for the drive back, just in case.

Tire socks or textile chains aren't CA legal for chains.

Dying to get my car back here.

Might be worth investing in snow tires if you are going every weekend
Are snow tires better than chains? My car is rwd

Yes I think so. Haven't seen you in awhile btw. I've joined some bmw clubs as of recent that meet throughout the year and do cruises let me know if you're interested. Been doing less of that as of late though because of coronavirus though.

Yeah, it's been a while. Are people still having meets during this quarantine? I'm thinking I should get snow tires on some cheaper wheels because I don't think they'd wrap around the ones I have.

Yeah there was a group that went to Azusa canyon this morning about 30 cars. But I think they closed the road so I think they may have gone to ACH. If you stay in your car then it's proper social distancing as you aren't together in the same room or right next to each other I guess.
