Our stables have been robbed 4 times in the last two years by pikeys, police can't/won't do anything. Don't get me started on pikeys.

One thing I can say for members of the "Irish travelling community" is that if they are your friend and they like you, they will do ANYTHING for you.

I have found from personal experience that they are generally very hospitable to outsiders. They have strong family values also.

Admittedly their is the gypsy DNA in them that makes SOME of them do some mad shit, but as said before if you have a genuine friendship with them they will swim oceans for you.

Back to the subject at hand, how the hell did no one notice anything!

There's a small camp a couple of miles from me and they have no respect for anyone or their property, I haven't had any problems with them personally but know a few people who have.
Luckily the ones round here are a bit mickey mouse and not Brad Pitt in Snatch ..A guy who owns a local scrap yard had a load of stuff stolen from them so went up their site to confront them, they threatened to burn his house down, but the guys a big tough fella and told them their caravans would burn a lot faster than his house. He gave them until he opened up the next morning to return the stuff and they did. Scum!

A guy next to our old place had his fence stolen, as they were pulling the panels out he went to confront them, again not a small bloke either, they hit him around the head with a crow bar and he found his way into hospital.

Agree, .. but the bloke who owns the scrap yard really is a bloke you don't wanna pick a fight with .. fists like shovels and wrists like the average mans ankles and he can fight. Luckily the pikeys at the local camp site aren't the bare knuckle champs of the travelling community and only have so so sized balls.. they're just thieving scum!

Agreed.

Also it's as if they've all got attention deficit disorder or something similar.. the way they are always constantly doing things to get a reaction or for people to look at them .. shouting when having a normal conversation outdoors etc.
