Well last night on my way home from work I stopped to pick up some food and when I started my car got the transmission malfunction warning - possible to engage gear without depressing brake went off, the gong goes off every couple of seconds then stops for a few minutes then goes crazy again. The strange part is my instrument cluster also intermittently flashes completely off and then back on including my speedometer. Found out last night I can move between gears without pressing the brake pedal, this went away this morning for a little while with only the transmission light on but all issues started up again.

Took the car in this morning to a local transmission place by me that specializes in European cars and they scanned the car and found no faults relating to the transmission, that’s the good news, bad news is the codes they pulled relate to the computer (not sure which ones). They referred me to a computer/electronics specialist they use. The car drives fine and transmission is shifting as normal, I only notice some power loss when the dash flickers off for a few seconds. Not sure if anyone had any similar issues but will post back after the electrical tech looks at it. Car has 127 km and was driving fine with no warnings before this occurred.

Hopefully it’s nothing too serious like possibly a dying battery, also I park in an indoor garage so not a rodent problem where wires are getting chewed up. Anyone have any other recommendations?
