F30 Instrument Cluster Retrofit

Hi all,

Recently needed to replace my instrument cluster. Going to cost 2000 so I bought a used Virginized cluster off eBay. Seller was abroad but the dash or post didn’t say it was incompatible by country. Took it to the dealer and they are claiming they can’t code the part to the car. Has anyone had experience with this? I’m trying to figure out if I’m beat or if this shouldn’t be an issue. Any advice would be great.

Which cluster, WA or WB? And the 2000, is that pesos? A brand new 6WB costs about $1300, I'd imagine the WA is less than that. The one you bought probably wasn't virginized correctly I think...

For that price you could have gotten a new 6WB. Is it possible to return the unit you got?

I haven’t made the purchase for BMW yet. Hoping there Was a way to make this one work. Wasn’t sure if the community had a suggestion on a person or a company who could do the coding (and maybe virginizing) off the used unit I bought

Might be worth a shot before you throw it away...
