Hi all,

i got a problem with installing my cluster 6WB. When i try to detect the CAFD the button is grayed out.

i atteached a screen shot. I also selected the folder of the KOMBI. Do you have any idea to solve this ?

I use esys 3.30 with the launcher 2.8.2.

I searched a lot but could not really find the right thing. i tried it also with e sys 2.7x 2.8x

Try with E-Sys direct. Launcher should be used for FDL Coding only. And use E-Sys 3.33.4 and latest 4.19.13 PSdZData.

The Whole ECU is Blue (Target). You cannot Inject CAFD Unless it is Black (Actual).

Actually you use Read ECU, and since DKombi is not in your SVT, it is Blue, which is to be expected.

Not sure what is up with your setup. With FA activated, and using latest E-Sys and PSdZData, your KIS/SVT and with it Detect CAF for SWE should not be grayed out. Something is not right with your PSdZData. I would delete the entire PSdZData folder and replace it with latest v.4.19.13_PSdZData and try again.

This looks like Flashing ECU, not Coding ECU, and SVK-Ist does not match expected SGBMIDs for ecu..." means you have chosen an improper I-Step Shipment when you made your SVT Target (SVT_soll).

If anyone can please help me here, I have 2014 BMW3 Series, xDrive and I followed these instructions (https://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sh...96&postcount=7) to enable Enhanced Bluetooth.

I was able to complete Step 1. Change FA from 6NH to 6NL.
However at Step 2. VO Code Head Unit, I am getting this error:
"HU_ENTRY [63]
cdDeploy FinishedWithError
cafd_000000f9-007_008_009 NotExecutable"

is strange as Coding the Combox (CMB_MEDIA) worked fine.
Is just the HU_ENTRY giving em this error.


I also tried to inject CAFD back into HU_ENTRY and VO Code module with original FA:

Connect => Read FA (VO) => Activate FA (VO) => Read SVT (VCM) => Left-Click on HU_ENTRY = > Click on "Detect CAF for SWE" => Select the CAFD from latest I-Level shown (bottom one) => Select OK => Right-Click on HU_ENTRY (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE.

But this doesn't work neither and I get the same "NotExecutable" error.

Any advise...?

Did you set Set FA back to 6NH before you Injected CAFD back into HU_ENTRY and VO Coded the module?

Make sure FA is correct. Beyond that, if you cannot Inject CAFD, you must Flash ECU.

"FinishedWithError" means coding parameters used in FA or FDL are not valid.

Hello Shawn and anybody else, who can help.

I'm trying to retrofit heated steering wheel, according to this post:

I think I did hardwiring ok, with coding I have problems. I am total beginner at coding.

First I added option 248 to Salapa elements and tried to VO code FEM_BODY, KOMBI and HU_ENTRYNAV.
It did not work, I got errors: file for"cafd.."not found.
When I read coding data, I get this error also on other modules, not just three I tried to VO code.
So I am assuming that this year, when car was at the dealer, they changed firmware. Before that I have successfully coded auto start-stop, but dealer reseted it.

So I downloaded latest psdzdata data I found 4.21.32, tried to read coding data FEM_BODY, same issue, same error CAFD_00000794_018_070_004 Fehler: File for "cafd_00000794_018_070_004" not found![C012]
Then I tried to "Detect CAF for SWE" for FEM_BODY, I get error: failed to get caf for swe...kiss error
According to Esys I-step of my car is F020-17-11-530

What should I do? Try with differrent version of psdzdata? With older version I had It did not work either.
And am I doing everything correcly or should I try different way? Is it necessary to VO code all three modules I mentioned or is it enough to code just FEM_BODY?
I have basic KOMBI so warning for "heated steering wheeel turned on" probably won't work anyway. For HU I don't know if it has anything to do with heated steering wheel option.
I would really appreciate more detailed answer, as I am new at coding.

My car is 2014 F31, I use Esys 3.27.1, Enet cable. I connect via VIN, F020 (not direct).
