17 330i engine and tuning capabilities
Hello all,
Last year I owned a 17 320i which had the N20 engine as the US didnt get the B48. I was ready to tune that car after a lot of research but covid hit and I ended up selling it. Anyways Im currently eyeing either another 320 2018 most likely or a 330i 17/18. I ran the vin code and it shows that they got the B46 engine. I was wondering if anyone has any tuning experience with that car/engine and what they're opinions are. Also I remember the N20 has 11:1 compression but the N26 if im not mistaken was 10:1, is the b46 also 10:1? Personally if I go with the 320 I definitely would want to go to stage 1 as it desperately needs it, but if I go with the 330i I'll probably focus more on cosmetic upgrades as 250hp should be enough to have fun in. Let me hear your opinions and what to look out for in the 330i thankss |

I made 253whp/314wtq on BM3 Stage 1 with no other mods on my 2017 330i B46. I just switched over to MG Flasher which feels really good and I am installing my downpipe this week. I will be getting new dyno numbers soon.

Maybe the figures is higher because its base on low-comp N20? since B48 all has high comp, both in 320i and 330i (at least it is in my country) CMIIW
