New F30, feels good to be back.

I haven't had a BMW since I sold my 07 335i back in 2014. I recently purchased a 2018 340i. The car has M badges on the side and rear of the car. It also has the stipes on the grille. It was my understanding that the M340i was a 2019 and newer option only.

I assume these badges were stuck on by a previous owner but wanted to be sure before I removed them. I prefer to keep whatever was stock with regard to badging.

Thanks!

You should put an M340i badge on the trunk.

Congrats on coming back to the dark side. Is the car an M Sport model? That could be why the previous owner stuck the M badges on the car. Post some pics and we’ll let you know if it’s an M Sport model. You gotta post pics anyway or it didn’t happen.

Thanks for confirming. Its has the M sport, M sport suspension, M steering wheel, and M aerodynamics packages.

I also found a GPS tracker hooked to the battery and I suspect the ODB port will have one too. I have seen a few posts that mention the same one I found by Spireon. The car was a lease vehicle so I assume that's why. I plan to remove them both tonight.

I will post some pics soon.

The F30 M sports in Europe have 'M' badges on the front fenders but nothing on the rear of the car. My 340i has this.

Congrats on your new car! You made an excellent choice. The B58 engine is the best. Check out Kies Motorsports YouTube channel. There's a lot of 340i mods.
