2015 X3 EGR valve replace or adapt

Afternoon all,
I posted this morning on X3 sub and was suggested I put it here instead.

I pulled and cleaned my EGR valve from our 2015 F25 x3 28d with the N47T this weekend. Just over 50k miles on the engine. The valve wasn't terribly dirty or clogged but it was physically sticking open when I operated it by hand. After cleaning it very well it seemed fine with no more sticking. I put it back together and cleared the fault memory in ISTA. This morning's CEL faults are less numerous but three remain: Valve closed too loosely, mechanically faulty near closed and mechanically faulty near open.

I've read a lot here regarding the recall on the EGR valve and EGR cooler, I would like to avoid any other issues with that. Seems like a stuck open valve can do some damage. Should I replace the valve or reset the adaptations and fault codes and see if that solves it? I have not done the adaptation reset before and am a bit unclear on that process with ISTA.

Thank you

I would do the EGR learned adaptations first, yes.
