Thanks for posting. That's a good video! Also good to see that the AFR says low as the failsafe kicks in. So I take it your MHD tune is working OK with your turbo?

I was running a MHD PS2 BETA-map in the video. My tuner is still working on my custom map. So far the BETA-map is working great but only made for 91 pump so not really super powerful.

Thank you for posting this how to. I will be using it for my meth install on my F80

Are you still not running an anti-siphon solenoid and instead running the 20 psi check valve?

I had a solenoid before with the BMS kit but it is just another component to fail. You loose a bit of flow with the check valve but it is more reliable.

Thank you. I like the lack of the solenoid, it simplifies the system.

Sorry for bringing this thread back.
But do you used a methanol inline filter with your kit? If so where do you put them since you have bms stealth tank?

Mine is sitting after the pump but that does not make sense hehe. I suggest to install it before pump.

Good you mention it. I have not cleaned mine for +2 years or so

But on the bms stealth tank.. The connection before the pump is so short.. How can you even fit the filter in.. I have the bms tank and planning to put the filter after the pump as well

Sorry, I dont know the stealth tank. I believe you can get a in-tank pickup filter....but that will probably not be accessible hmm. Just put the filter where you can then.

This is a great thread and thanks for sharing your setups! I'm looking into the torqbyte setup for my N55 M2.

I have the Fuel-It direct port methanol kit installed which uses (6) 550cc injectors. Does the torqbyte controller have 6 GPO's or must you splice the injector wires together?

Also, will the boost solenoid failsafe work with the EWG N55?

You must run all injectors on the same GPO. Check how many amps the GPO can handle. EWG does not have a boost solenoid but I would assume you can do the same as I do and cut ground to the EWG.

Have fun

Sounds good thanks for the information. I’ve been emailing with Alex at Torqbyte and will ask about the GPO amperage. Otherwise I think this controller can be a good solution for my system.

I used the BMS EWG harness to wire in the boost cut failsafe. Made it as plug and play as possible and simplified the install.

The amount of amps your pumps draw....

My ~5 year old DDP 5800 (1.3gph, 12v, 200psi) from BMS with 100% duty draws around 10 amps vs 6amps i saw in harkes video.

with 50% duty I get around 6 amps. Dosent matter if solenoid is open or closed, amps are about the same. I get meth flow. Nozzle is a BMS CM7

Pump starts to fail, small blockage in line (meth line compressed some how) ?

I rembember when system was installed the duty and amp reading were in the same range as in the video.
