Stock to M Sport Brakes

Hey,

I have a Glacier Silver F30, I really like the idea of getting M Sport brakes installed in Red.

Regarding buying these, whats a rough cost and if going ahead with this would I also have to buy new brake discs or anything else.

Just for reference, here is a picture of my cars wheels at the moment, and the photo under is what I am wanting.

Sorry for the newbie question, just would like some guidance as a lot of you on here seem to know what you are talking about!

You need this set
M Performance Brake
and in addition the M Performance Brakes rear rotor, fitting to your build (emergency brake size of 320d)

Thanks for your info, but just a quick question.

If I found 4 x Brembo BMW OEM Calipers I couldn't just get them fitted to my current system I would need to buy the whole package?

Well, there are different types of Brembo calipers.
One type goes 370mm front rotor the other for 340mm front rotor.
So you need to make sure for what front rotor size your calipers fit. (caliper color? part number?)

As I can see on your upper pic, you have the original 1 piston front caliper installed.
If you go for a change to Brembo 4 piston front and 2 piston rear setup you will need the according front and rear rotor and brake pads and dust shields.
Either:
370mm front / 345mm rear rotor
or
340mm front / 345mm rear rotor

Could I just buy some OEM BMW red/blue calipers and replace my current ones or will I have to go for a full set?

you'll need to replace both rotor and caliper as a set

the m-sport rotors are 340mm front diameter w/ blue calipers that fit 340mm dia.

the m-performance rotors are 370mm front/345mm rear diameter with red, yellow, or orange (i think) calipers that fit that size

Looks like the sellers removed the items as they worked the other day.

Second had sets are very rare on ebay, and when they do appear people message the sellers to offer them a price and they remove the listing and do the deal private.

The set for a 335i will fit. Except the rear rotor of the 335i set will not fit on the 320. The emergency brake vary on 335i and 320i/d. You can't mount the 335i rear rotor to the 320 emergency brake.
You would have to get additional rear rotor 345x20 fitting the 320i/d emergency brakes.

And you also need to buy the dust shield for those larger rotors for front and rear and replace them.

345mm rotor for 320d (what you need)
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/part...&q=34206797605

345mm rotor for 335i (part of the ebay set)
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/part...&q=34206797607

The needed rear rotor set for the 320d adds about £300.- (excluding dust shields). So you come to a total of £1200.-.
For about £1750.- you can get a new set of the M Performance Brakes (gold/yellow caliper) including the rear rotors.
I would go for the new set.

Sport brakes F31 320d

Hi you all.

I have just bought a F31 320d, and would really like the M-sport brakes.

Is it an easy bolt on?

I'm thinking of byeing these and painting them myself. Due to costs.
http://www.ebay.de/itm/2x-BREMSSATTE...%257Ciid%253A1

And do the 340mm discs fit. I'm aware that i also have to change the dust shields.

Thank you in advance.
