brake light bulb replacement

I cant seem to remove the taillight assembly to replace the bulbs, any tips.

Once you remove the rain gutters (LCI shown):

the tail lights are removed the same way as on F30 or F32:

At Step 4 of the instruction, after removal of two (2) nuts you have to grab onto the light assembly and to yank. The direction - towards the back and not to the side of the car. There is a small ball lock on the assembly and it is harder to remove on the older cars:
