Just bought Bimmercode and thought I'd be clever by changing multiple data options and saving them all in one go.
Hmm not good. ECU had a complete meltdown with more lights than the Enterprise flashing and bonging. The only thing missing was shields up RED ALERT!!
Thankfully restore mode and a clean pair of boxers was all that was required to rectify my exuberance.
I took this opportunity to reset the ECU and then make and save the changes one by one. Each has gone on successfully and for the small investment I'm delighted.
As an aside I've had a gearbox issue that has been in under warranty no less than 4x and still not solved. However, since my ECU reset, the gear change is now silky smooth and all problems have disappeared. Could be just coincidence but either way I'm chuffed to bits. The car is now exactly how I like it.

i read that these 2 below needed to be coded

LWR_AHL_TYP = ohne (removes adaptive feature)
FLC_AKTIV - to nicht aktiv (fixes cornering fault)

I know it can be done with E-Sys but my windows update has messed it up.

Yes, it can be found in the FEM module via the expertview of BimmerCode!

anyone have issues with the start up screen animation? coded the m performance start up while it worked fine.. it doesnt always come on, on every start up like the stock one did.. only shows up every once in a while, sometimes only plays half way.. the m performance on the cluster works every time

You are „too slow". You need to press the ignition button pretty fast after entering the car. If you don't, the animation already ended before the display turns on.

I haven't searched yet. But is there a code to turn off or at least turn the volume lower for the warning sounds such as when im in reverse

If i'm not mistaken, that's in the general volume settings under "tone". There's another volume menu at the bottom under your stereo settings where you can adjust PDC volume and the gong sound.

You're right but it's still to loud for my liking. But I searched and people were saying you cant code it lower than what is available under settings.

Hello guys . Im new to coding , all i want to do is to activate the Start and Stop memory on my F31

I have a cheap ebay OBD2 bluetooth dongle that i never used before , so im afraid to buy the bimmercode app and the dongle does not work with the App.

Is there any way that i can test the conection before i buy the app ?

Or there is another App that can do this coding for a smaller price ? Only need 1 function.

I am looking to implement the ones here, and also the gauges for HP and Torque.

I also want to get sport+ going on my F30 with launch control, but I'm not clear on all the stuff I read how to do that. Can all of that be done with bimmercode? Is using bimmercode and just selecting sport automatic transmission in the Transmission Control Unit all I need to do to enable sport+?

I was able ot code the windows roll up and down with the fob, shut off the idrive when door opened, and unlock the car when shut off. So I am making out pretty well on getting some things tweaked.

Wow , bimmercode has endless coding options in Expert Mode. I just coded my seat to move back when i open my door, and the roll front again when i start the car. Didnt even know i had this option.

3000 SM Global > Einausstuegshilfe. Once here just change from nicht aktiv to Modus_FA_SLV.

And thats it.

You can install the app on your phone (IOS or Android) for free, test the connection with the dongle you have, and, provided it works, read the parameter values in your ECUs. You cannot save any changes, however; you have to purchase the app (~$35 US) for that.

BimmerCode works great. Got the adapter in the photo which is one of the handful that are approved for BC. It has its own OBDLink app which is awesome since it lets you run real time gauges like a boost gauge on your phone. And it does 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for you. Very cool!

I haven't messed with bimmer code since December. Did they finally get the 340i logo to show on the cluster while driving? I remember all I got was a placeholder in German.

What else is new we can do? Felt like just change setting once and forget you even had it ahah

Please note FEM body coding can take up to an hour to work, so code, lock car and go away for an hour then return and check. This is part of Comfort access settings. With these settings set to activ you can open car with key fob, keeping button pressed for more than a second will then either drop or close windows. Similar setting for mirror open/close (IF you have power mirrors).

P.S I do not have F30 or FEM body so have not personally checked settings but have all these active in my F48 within BDC ecu. Think these and many more coding options can be found in the F30 cheat sheet, try tracking down in Bimmerfest coding forum.

Still doesn't work. Everything in 3053 with Komfort and/or hinden in it is said to active and rear windows won't go up or down with the key or the handles
