Garage List
BMW XM Concept

Not a single curve in sight except for the roundel... (and the tyres but then BMW didn't design those).

Can you parody your own brand? I guess you can.

Happy for those like it, but it's putting ever more distance between me and the brand. It's not even just the physical aspect. It's beyond Bentayga levels of ostentation. There's just something slightly tone deaf about this shouty sort of take on luxury in today's world.

Perhaps the production version will be less extreme.

Wee bit of the Rav4 about it , apart from the questionable BM front end.

Still no beauty so i dont see one parked in the driveway.

It will appeal to those that have gold wrapped lambos I.e those with considerably more money than taste. Therefore it will sell and that's all BMW cares about.
The lit grille and lights on top are particularly Halfords esk. Inside is better though.

The front end previews what the new 7 Series, due July next year, will look like. And the X7 LCI, also due next year.

Horrible. Though not quite as horrible as the ridiculously oversized exhaust Joe Achilles has just put on his M3…

As I said on the main page. It's bizarre and I do love the interior but this is :-

RAV4 + Grills = XMRAV4Coupe M M M XM 70ie

Bye Bye BMW for possibly a long time. Your design direction is terrible and you seem obsessed with being controversial 'just because'!

The Chris Bangle era seems like so long ago now.

That was thinking outside of the box.
This is just a box.

Oh my. What on earth are BMW's design team doing. BMW are suffering from an identity crisis. That is terrible. Origami car.

The interior is just as bad (apart from the carbon fibre/copper dash, I like that).

So we won't be getting one of those for £600 a month.

Are the two etched badges on the rear windscreen purely for power gains?

That's utterly horrendous - and I like the X7 and can happily tolerate the iX.

As said above, it's the level of ostentatious that really grates with me. Why does a BMW have to have a Lamborghini level of visual noise.

Because it's not aimed at the European market. This is for the Middle East, the U.S., and to some extent, Russia.

I agree, I don't like the ostentatiousness of it. The powertrain will become more relevant to Europeans when it appears in the next M5 in around 2024.
