The OP stated it "runs and drives fine" after clearing codes. I'm assuming this means it wont throw any new codes while driving around and seems to be operating correctly.
They probably need to confirm that through other diagnostics (are cyl 2/5 firing correctly after clearing codes?), but assuming that's true it shouldn't be something physical that directly affects the operation at all times. So to me this feels like a programming issue, specifically with the startup sequence. Or something with a sensor or input not reading correctly, but is compensated after startup. I wonder if the Auto start/stop or eco mode cause any problems? |

The car runs. Sadly, I cant provide any specifics yet, programmer is being annoying and refuses to explain anything. Generally, it required a custom tune/map, because car wasnt accepting the new dme.

Update. For misfires - You need EU6 injectors(pwg comes with eu5), because along with ewg turbo, bmw changed the EU standart.
And those two removed errors had nothing to do with conversion. One was for damaged IBS cable, another probably related to xdrive harness somehow, didnt care too much to fix it. One important note though. Get the correct DME. This needs mevd172g, I believe. |

not worth it, unless youre swapping the entire engine anyway. Look how much hassle there is for negligible gain. Youre better off getting a big turbo upgrade for pwg

ewg comes with additional wiring connectors, so you need the wiring and the dme to run it. Not sure what do you mean, but I dont think you can just mix and match parts from both turbos, its a whole unit, with exhaust manifold, and you need a wider ewg downpipe too

but still, you need your car to know it has ewg, that requires new dme and wiring...otherwise MHD, bm3 etc. wont recognise it and you wont be able to use an appropriate tune. At least with my build, I can use mhd no problem, running stage2 + for over a year
