I originally mentioned this issue in this other thread about the MHD multi-map flash:

But thought I'd start a new thread specifically for this issue to see if anyone else has noticed it and discuss how to resolve it.

I noticed that after flashing the multi-map option, my CEL no longer lit up at all, except when using the map-switching function. Normally, the CEL lights when the ignition is switched on and then goes out 1 or 2 seconds after the engine is started. After the flash, it didn't light up at all. That's not good.

I flashed back to the single map option (Stg2/93oct) to see if that would fix the issue, but it didn't. My CEL still doesn't light up at all.

I emailed MHD yesterday about this issue and I'm awaiting a response. I'll post their response here.

Anyone else tried flashing the multi-map option? If so, do you also have this issue? Or, does your CEL still work as expected?

I got a response from MHD:

"This was a small bug, will be fixed in update 3.61 coming this week."

It's good to know that it wasn't just me. They acknowledged the issue and it'll be fixed in the next release.
I'll re-flash when I get the new release and post the results here.

I re-flashed today with v3.61 of the app and I can confirm it does indeed fix the disabled CEL bug!
