Gearbox Replacement Coding

Hi there,

So I have an F32 that had its gearbox recently give up and I've had another one installed but I opted to not switch over the mechatronics unit from the old gearbox to the replacement one just in case, but I'm currently facing the issue of coding the EGS for it to work with the car.

I've already updated the EGS and other dependencies and coded the FA to it but it still won't move out of P.

After searching online for a bit it seems that the vin number needs to be written to the gearbox, but I'm unsure of how to.

Anyone have any idea that could help me out?

Thanks in advance

you need to virginize the gearbox, to do that you need some programmer which is able to do that. you can't just code it with esys. EGS has ISN code which has to be cleared (virginized).

I just ended up taking the ECU off the valve body and transferred it to the replacement valve body and that worked just fine.

Appreciate the help
