So I received my Turner Motorsport front strut brace today. Does anyone know what I should torque the strut bolts to? Also, those of you who have the TMS brace, did you adjust the length of the bar or leave it as received? I"m also assuming I should tighten the brace hardware (bolt with nylon lock nut). It comes very loose.

Nevermind...I found it on newTIC.info. Strut tower bolts torque spec is 56 N-m (41.3 ft-lbs)

30Nm + 90deg for M8 bolts, 56Nm + 90deg for M10, although I sure as heck didn't need 30Nm of torque to break the bolts loose from the factory (used my torque wrench)!

Post Upper adn Lower front Ultraracing strut tower brace fr f30

Hi
I've an F30 320i
i've installed upper front Strut tower (Ultraracing)UR-TW2-3744
and I bought the lower front one UR-LA2-2543,, but the problem was that I have to remove the Underride protection (part number 31146850067)
Does any one has a way around this?? Maybe one had cut through the underride protection ?!!
Ah btw,,, the front upper strut tower brace really does a good job in holding up the front of the car,, I wish I can install the lower one without having to remove the shield,
Thx

Couldn't you just punch two holes in the shield and just have the bar ride below the shield?

Yeah ,, actually I ordered the wrong one by mistake first then returned it and bought this one ,, but I think they all have the same bolt pattern,,

Well ,, we've lifted it up,, took the shield off and when we were bolting in the brace we realized it won't let the shield back in,,
But we were tired to try where exactly it won't fit ,,
A friend of mine told me I should AutoCAD it and see where exactly it could be pinched , if any,,, I thought of contacting ultraracing
They shouldve put this into consideration
I've searched alot on the internet for a solution ,, found that some f30 thier underide shield is made of like fabric material ,, like the one that surrounds the wheels ,, so it could be pinched easily
But here in Egypt roads have allot of bumps and holes ,, so a metal under shield is a must

Thanks!

The rear lower brace does not look like it will do very much. It looks to be trying to prevent scissoring of the end of the rear axle carrier but there is already a solid strut nearby already doing that. The front brace and the strut bar look solid. How does it feel with all the bracing?

Yeah,, I've installed the front first,,, the car felt it got hold of itself together better,, I've noticed this when I go slowly over speed bumps,, when the car goes off the speed bumps with the front wheels,, I felt asif the inertia if pulling the front down as u fall off the bump,, but now it's held solid,,
The back one also did a good in corners ,, even ones beloow 60km

I didn't know what could the rear one do so I asked the mechanic when we were installing it، ،،he told me that the flexing in the rear Axel is higher than the flexing in the chassis, so it should stop the rear Axel flex ,, I don't push my car to it's limits , but it felt a little more solid in curves
